E-Tapping: Thread cutting with cordless screwdriver

E-Tapping: Thread cutting with cordless screwdriver

At the 1992 Hardware Fair, the Remscheid-based manufacturer of thread-cutting tools presented a tap with a hexagonal shank for the first time. The aim at that time was to cut threads with a cordless screwdriver. But the machines were not powerful enough. Today, things are different: the GSR range for tapping with cordless screwdrivers is growing. The professional end users are enthusiastic. They are, of course, the quickest to recognise the efficiency of this method of working and use the tools to cut internal and external threads economically. GSR has adapted the cutting thread tools to the special requirements. Dies and machine taps are optimised for quick-change use.
