3D printing service

3D printing of a wide variety of components – our service for you

The printing by 3D printer is often the cheapest and simplest way to produce spare parts and prototypes. We offer to print your 3D object. To reinforce your3D object we have the possibility to insert carbon fibre, glass fibre or Kevlar into the print.

The advantages of 3D printing at a glance:

✅ Fast production of complex components

✅ Production of prototypes in small quantities

✅ Manufacture of small quantities

✅ Printing of parts in different bending strengths

✅ Aluminium-like material properties through the use of carbon fibres

✅ Tried and tested industrial additive manufacturing

✅ Transformed and shortened supply chain

What material is there for the 3D printer?

Using “Fused Filamet Fabrication” we print your model as a plastic matrix. In certain cases, it is advisable to insert reinforcing fibres into this matrix to enable higher material strength and resilience. As basic materials we use the following material:

Onyx

Onyx is a black thermoplastic made of nylon and carbon fibres. It is characterised by high heat resistance and excellent surface properties. The added carbon fibres give Onyx an impressive 1.4 times the strength and stiffness of ABS. This has led to its use in a wide range of industrial applications today.

Flexural strength: 81 MPa
Bending stiffness 2.9 GPa
Heat deflection temperature: 145°C
Density: 1.2 g/cm3

Maximum stability with 3D printing

By inserting continuous fibres into the 3D print (CFF process), the strength of the objects printed by us is increased even further. For example, a combination of onyx and carbon fibre achieves 8 times the strength of ABS (a widely used 3D printing material).

Carbon fibre

Carbon fibres are used in industry, aerospace and wherever there is a demand for lightweight, robust parts. This fibre is ideally suited to replace aluminium components when inlaid in onyx material. A part reinforced with carbon fibre has six times the strength and 18 times the stiffness of pure onyx.

Flexural strength: 470 MPa
Bending stiffness: 51 GPa

Fibreglass

The use of glass fibre increases the strength of an Onyx print by 2.5 and the stiffness by eight times. This puts it well behind carbon fibre, but scores points for its lower price.

Flexural strength: 210 MPa
Bending stiffness: 22 GPa

Kevlar© fibre

Kevlar fibre also increases the bending strength and flexural rigidity of objects, but is particularly characterised by its flexibility. Furthermore, materials reinforced with Kevlar are particularly durable, hard-wearing and abrasion-resistant.

Flexural strength: 190 MPa
Bending stiffness: 26 GPa
